Well, the job Karl had here in Fruitland wasn't working out so he got a new job! He will be the Agricultural Education teacher at Cambridge High School. It's a teeny tiny place, but he's so excited to live up in the beautiful country! There are about 70 students in the school and the grades are 7th-12th. It's waaay small. The sports program combines with another school just so their teams are big enough. Karl's excited about the student focused learning opportunities there. The weeks are only Monday through Thursday and he is contracted to work 1 1/2 Fridays a month. Friday is the day the students have the accountability to work on things they need help on etc. The grades are As, Bs, Cs, and incompletes. If a student does an assignment and it's not what the teacher expects it's incomplete. They have all semester long to complete all their assignments, but in order to receive credit they need to be in by the time the semester is over. I love it because the accountability is all on the students and it doesn't matter how long it takes them to finish it.
School starts August 22nd so we'll probably move up there in the middle of July.
