BLESSINGS!!!

So much has happened lately and we are so grateful for all of Heavenly Father's blessings! On October 20th the Fruitland Community held a Benefit for Karl and it has been the biggest blessing for our family. They were able to raise money to help us with all the medical bills and to help us get a new truck. (Well, new for us.) It's a 2004 Ford F150 navy blue truck and we named it Kronk. haha! We are grateful to have it since we live in an area that will have a lot of snow. I am also grateful that I had a miscarriage back in March because I don't think I would have been able to handle having a child while my husband has been going through cancer. Heavenly Father has a plan and I am grateful he is in charge of my life! We have been able to pay off most of the medical bills and Karl's last chemotherapy treatment  is on December 7th! We are so excited about that.
These are the wonderful ladies that were in charge of the benefit and we love them dearly!!! Thank you Cindy Lee, Angie Barlow, and Rachelle McCurdy!

We also have another wonderful update to add! We have a foreign exchange student from Norway staying with us. Her name is Anne Marie and she is such a pleasure to have with us! It's nice to have someone from Norway because that is where Karl's ancestors are from and we know a lot of the history of that area because of that family link. She is so helpful, kind, thoughtful, and punctual. We never have to worry about waking her up in the mornings and since Karl teaches where she goes to school her schedule is basically the same as ours. She was living with another family here in Cambridge, but sadly, that wasn't working out so we took her in. She does cheer-leading and so we go to her games and cheer her on! We love having her here!

Yesterday Karl, Anne Marie, and I put up the Christmas lights and then she and I did a cardio workout. It's nice to have someone here to motivate me to get into better shape. Our family has been truly blessed during this Thanksgiving season. Oh, by the way, we have in ducted Anne Marie into the "farm" lifestyle. She helped us feed the cows and rake leaves while we were at Karl's parent's house. We went to their house for Thanksgiving break and it was so much fun, we loved every minute of it! She even touched one of the cows. I will try to post pictures either on here or on facebook. Having Anne Marie go to Black Friday wasn't so bad either.
