Family Pics 2015

We had a of fun taking these pictures! I am really pleased with how they turned out since we did them ourselves. It pays off to have a nice camera, I guess. I just love how it displays the beautiful Autumn weather here in Ashton.

Say, "Cheese!"

I am so grateful for this man. He is such an amazing father to our sweet Lydia! Anyone who meets him knows how awesome he is. He's loving, caring, serving, kind, sweet, smart, handy, close to God, and so much more. I am blessed to have him as my eternal companion and best friend!

We found a campchair in her size at the house we took this at and Karl fell in love with how "outdoorsy" it made her look. haha!

This was my favorite picture (as far as the lighting goes) but Lydia wasn't looking up. :( That's ok...we still made memories here!

1 Year Already??!!

So much has happened lately, it's hard to believe how much time has flown by! Well, shortly after my last post we moved to Ashton, Idaho and have been loving it so far. We have been very blessed since moving here and I am grateful for the friends we are making and the friends we still have and have decided to still like us. haha!
Miss Lydia turned 10 months old in August and she turned more and more mobile like a toddler. She is the light and life of our lives! This beautiful darling won't let either Karl or myself out of her sight unless she is with the other parent. By this point she had 6 teeth and was such a goofball.

In September she turned 11 months old and no longer looked like a baby to me. She has become more and more independent every day. She likes to figure stuff out on her own and is so obedient. She's such a great sleeper and eater and I am so blessed for that.

This little lady had her birthday in October and it still is hard to believe she is 1! She's all grown up! ;'(   She blows a raspberry when you ask her what an elephant says. She runs all over the place and is becoming quite the climber. She reaches new heights every day.
This is from when she was 1 month old to 12 months old. Where has the time gone? Really.

This was such a fun photo shoot for me and for her. She loved the balloons, but every time she would get close to one it would roll away. She was so sweet on her special day and we even managed to get family pictures that day.

She had fun opening her gifts, but was more excited about the wrapping paper than the actual gift. Once the paper went away she got the idea, I think. Since her birthday her two favorite toys have been the baby doll and that fun/noisy car.

We let her smash into her own cupcake and she had a ball. I thought she wouldn't be super messy and she wasn't, not really. The day before her birthday was her first time having sugar (a cookie) and she has a been a fan ever since. Thankfully I still believe in the idea of moderation in all things. ;)

42 Week Update

Holy moly so much has happened the last few months! I cannot believe I have taken this long to do an update about my sweet baby!
Here she is at 6 months old. She has so much personality! She's fun and her first two teeth popped through.
While at the FFA state leadership conference we got to spend a lot of much needed time with "Aunt" Josie! We had a hotel dance party pretty much...
I took Lydia to the park and she loved the swings!
We gave her real food for the first time and Karl made a lot of funny faces. It was like watching the Incredibles movie all over again.
These two are smitten with each other. She could stand up by resting against Karl, but really learned how to master the crawling.
We kept this beauty out of the sun by using the umbrella. She is such a sweet heart!
Nothing cuter than wearing daddy's tie!
This is the cutie at 7 months. She giggles and plays so much. She really has a handle on crawling by this point and can pull herself up using furniture.
Here she is pulling herself up in the kitchen. Ugh I can't get enough of her!
Daddy-daughter dance date!!!
Karl's two favorite people helping him in the field on a four-wheeler.
Just posing with a sprinkler.
What better than putting the baby out in the country and on a lawn mower?
My princess and me!

A lot happened during the 8 month period of time...but here she is! My little darling!
We had a lot of adventures. We went to a family reunion in Oregon, went boating, and had a blast!
Here she is at 9 months old! She got her upper lateral teeth before her central ones and it has been the funniest thing! She's been looking like a vampire and it's so funny. She now has six teeth and is looking less like a vampire. She has the food thing down. She is a "champion Dahle eater" and is growing like a weed. She is currently 95% in height and 36% in weight.
She can stand on her own and has taken 3 steps by herself. She is sooo close to walking, but I'm okay if she takes longer to get to that point.
Two of my sisters came to visit and it was so funny seeing my nephew Trey and Lydia trying to get into the kitchen. They were kind of freaking out and it was cute, sad, and funny.

22 Week Update

How does the time go by so quickly??? We are definitely enjoying every minute we have with this little girl. She's growing so much. She's in the 94th percentile for height and 33rd percentile for weight. I calculated it on a website and it says that when she's an adult she'll be 5'11". That's insane! Haha! Lydia is such a sweet baby. I feel like I say that a lot, but it's true. She makes everyone smile. She talks, screams, squawks, and cries just like her mama. She can frown like me and it's so cuuute. She has the same lung capacity as Karl and me, but most of the time is a pleasant baby.
She got her 4 month shots and was feeling lethargic the day after. I don't mind the snuggles at all. Especially since she's my only baby. I'm giving her all the time I can to help her learn and grow.
We definitely love playtime. It happens a lot in this house. She can bring her feet up now and touch her toes. She can roll from side to side and front to back. rolling over isn't really her favorite. She'd rather be vertical in her jumper.
When we went to a basketball game where Karl works Lydia had a blow out. She got poop on all of her clothes so we found an FFA t-shirt and put it on her. We then stapled the neck for it to stay on. She was warm and happy an that's all that matters. Pretty innovative, I think.
She is the sunshine of my life! She's definitely a morning person and loves life. She discovers new things every day. One day she stared at her hand for at least 5 minutes. She was learning about it while moving it around. I love the little things like that.
Every day she learns a new way to project her voice. She'll use that "method of the day" to cry or laugh or play. It's so funny how she does that! She's also starting to teethe. I haven't found any teeth that have popped out yet. She does like to grab and chew on anything though. She likes her frozen foot to chew on too. It really helps her gums feel better.
Since teething has started she's been extra clingy to me. She hasn't been a fan of new people lately, but it's okay. It's a phase and she'll grow out of it. This is my big girl sitting in a high chair at Five Guys. We had our lunch there and I can't believe she's already big enough for that! We need to start looking for a high chair of some sort for when she starts to eat real food. For now she's going to only have nursed milk until she has teeth.
When it was nice outside we put the jumper on the dog leash line. Our neighbors have a dog and they keep him there during the summer. Lydia loved bouncing outside. She loves being outside and going on walks with us. She looks like a little Easter egg huh?
She's 5 months old now and has a few new tricks. She likes to walk around while holding our hands. She loves to bounce in her jumper that we keep in the doorway. She likes to sing and dance around. She doesn't mind being on the floor if we give her something to play with (aka chew on). She loves to read books with me. She scratches the pages and likes to turn them. Well, she can turn the page with a board book, but the paper ones like to end up in her mouth....or so she thinks. One of my favorite things that she does is suck on her bottom lip. It's almost like she doesn't need her pacifier. But she does like her pacifier when she's needing to settle down and go to sleep.
I love that the simplest things make her giggle. Just looking at Karl or me makes her smile. She loves to be tickled and will laugh for a long time! She loves kisses and likes to give them back. When Karl holds her she likes to play with his hand. She'll touch his fingers and slap his palm like she's giving a high five. Last Friday we went to Green Canyon Hot Springs and took Lydia swimming for the first time. She LOVED it! She was kicking and splashing! She really loves the water. I knew she would because she enjoys bath time so much!!!
We like to sing primary songs with her and help her fold her arms during prayer time. When we do our night time prayer we like to hold each other's hands. I love that we are bonded spiritually as a family. I am so blessed to have Karl and Lydia in my life!!!
